Vietnam offers a wealth of dive sites with many professional dive centers offering quality gear and good value PADI courses or intro dives for beginners. Diving is possible along much of the coast but we specifically recommend the area around Nha Trang. |

Vietnam's unique Halong Bay area as well as several lakes around Ba Be and the Mekong River offer fantastic kayaking or canoeing opportunities. Many of the smaller islands and bays of these areas can only be discovered and explored by kayak or canoe. | ||||

While waves may not be world class in Vietnam there are some good opportunities for beginners to catch a few waves around Da Nang's China Beach and near Mui Ne. There aren't many surf shops but boards can be rented from hotels and small water sport outlets. |

With beautiful beaches, strong and steady winds, Mui Ne is quickly growing into one of the most popular kiteboarding and windsurfing sites in Asia. The windy season starts around September/October and lasts until April/May. | ||||
