Days 1 & 2 - Hanoi to Sapa

Spend one night on the train and stay at the Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa

Have a free day in Hanoi before boarding the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai. From Hanoi it is a 9-hour train journey to Sapa. Upon arrival at Lao Cai you will transfer 35km to the former hill station of Sapa. In the afternoon begin your hike to the nearby Cat Cat valley, visiting some Hmong villages along the way. Later drive the short distance to the Red Dao village of Ta Phin nestled in a picturesque valley.

Days 2 to 5 - Sapa

Stay with a local family and spend one night on the train

Today you descend into one of the most picturesque valleys in the region. Arrive at the small village of Ta Van inhabited by the Tay minority. Here you will be their guests in a traditional home stay. Continue your trek through the stunning landscapes visiting several ethnic villages along the way. Later meet up with your support vehicle for the drive back to Sapa and a shower before our overnight train back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi in the morning. |
