Okinawa ExplorerOkinawa is the largest of the Ryukyu Islands and offers a different and unique flavor of Japanese culture. The island has lovely beaches with fantastic SCUBA diving options and there are several excellent resorts. You can explore this beautiful island in the comfort of a rental car. Day 1 - Naha

 Arrive at Naha airport and be met by your driver. You will be transfered by chartered sedan to the resort and check in. Unless you visit only the city of Naha, we highly recommend a rental car for getting around Okinawa Island. Okinawa drivers tend to be considerate, signs in Japanese and English, road conditions good, and rental cars equipped with a car navigation system. Most of Okinawa Island's highlights, including Shuri Castle, the Peace Memorial Park and the Himeyuri Monument, can be found in or around Naha. 
Days 2 to 4 - Okinawa

 Enjoy two free days at your resort or explore the island by car. There are several SCUBA diving shops near the beach and initiation dives or full certificate training are available. The island has many excellent dining options and as one would expect on an island there is abundant seafood. Among the domestic airports served from Naha are Tokyo's Haneda Airport, Osaka's Itami and Kansai Airport, Sapporo's New Chitose Airport, Nagoya Airport, Fukuoka Airport and several others. Flights are operated by the JAL Group, ANA Group and Skymark Airlines.
