Day 1 - Chiang Mai to Palong Village

Depart by way of a four-wheel-drive vehicle to the Orchid Farm, followed by a trip to a working elephant camp. After watching an elephant performance climb aboard these majestic beasts for a jaunt through the jungle followed by a trip in an oxcart to a river where the adventure continues on a thrilling bamboo rafting ride. Continue by road to the Palong hill-tribe village. Later in the evening, dinner will be served at the village and guests will enjoy a series of traditional song and dance presentations before retiring in the simple accommodations afforded by a bamboo cottage or dormitory room. |

After enjoying breakfast in the village, you will be transported by way of four-wheel-drive vehicles to the Chiang Dao Caves. After a period of exploration, lunch will be served before setting out to visit other hill tribes in the area, including Lisu and Akha, before driving to Doi Mae Salong to see a Chinese refugee village. The arrival in Chiang Rai will occur in the late afternoon and you will enjoy dinner in the evening. |

The final day of this amazing tour begins with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before setting out to visit the beautiful King’s Mother Garden before going on to Mae Sai in the northernmost part of Thailand. Travel to the infamous Golden Triangle, the place where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Burma meet. This is a place known for magnificent mountain scenery, ruins of ancient settlements, historic sites, Buddhist shrines and ethnic villages. Immediately following the exploration of the border area, you will take a boat ride along the majestic Mekong River to ancient Chiang Saen. You could spend a few more nights at this amazing resort. |
